Touchy Joe, Rapper Gunned Down

The Biden Blowup:Former Vice President Joe Biden, who lost his first wife and daughter to a car accident and a son to cancer, is known for giving touching speeches about personal loss. Now Biden is accused of being a different kind of touching and it’s a crisis for his undeclared candidacy for president.

A woman named Lucy Flores, a former Nevada legislator, accused Biden of kissing and touching her. Him too? The 39-year-old Flores, who was a 2014 candidate for lieutenant governor of Nevada, said that when Biden campaigned for her and other Democrats, he came up behind her before the rally, put his hands on her shoulders “smelled my hair” and planted “a big slow kiss” on the back of her head.

Biden has long been known as a touchy-feely guy, sometimes to the point of creepiness. Flores says his behavior is “disqualifying” as a presidential candidate.

That’s put Biden and his people in damage control mode for a campaign that’s being timed for a dramatic declaration almost as if to save Democrats from a field of lesser-knowns.

Defending without dismissing, Biden acknowledged “expressions of affection” to people, but said, “not once — never — did I believe I acted inappropriately.”

Crime Beat:Grammy-nominated rapper Nipsey Hussle was gunned down outside his Los Angeles clothing store yesterday in what appears to be a gang-related shooting. Two other people were also shot and survived.

The Los Angeles Timesreports that Hussle was shot by a young man who then ran to a waiting getaway car.

Hussle’s record “Victory Lap” was nominated for Best Rap Album at this year’s Grammy Awards. The 33-year-old rapper had tweeted ominously hours before the shooting: “Having strong enemies is a blessing.” He  was known as much for doing community work as he was for his music.

Courtside:Michigan state came from behind in the final minutes to topple Duke, the No. 1 seed in the men’s NCAA basketball tournament.

With just over a minute left, sophomore Xavier Tillman scored 5 points on two shots and a free throw, cutting the Duke lead to 1 point. Red shirt senior Kenny Goins launched a 3-pointer for a 2-point lead with just 34 seconds left.

The final was 68-67 for Michigan State. In the Final Four, Auburn faces Virginia and Texas tech is up against Michigan.

For the women, UConn knocked off No. 1 seeded Louisville to get a spot in the Final Four for the 12thyear in a row.

Post Time:The unusual run of horse deaths at California’s Santa Anita race track has resumed with the death of a 23rdhorse since Dec. 26th.

It came on only the third day of racing after the track had closed for nearly a month to investigate the spate of horse deaths. Arms Runner, a 5-year-old gelding, fell during a race with what appeared to be a catastrophic injury to his right front leg. He was put down.

Horse deaths have put the entire sport of racing under siege by animal rights activists. In defense, there’s a movement to eliminate the use of performance-enhancing drugs on race day. Yeah, they give the horses drugs. It’s common to dose them with Lasix, which helps them breathe.

Your Way:Burger King is introducing a vegetarian Whopper. Plant-based fake meat is going mainstream. The Impossible Whopper as it will be known, is the product of a company named Beyond Meat. It’s been served at over a thousand Carl’s Jr. restaurants since January.  White Castle has sold a slider version since late last year and we’re sure it’s just as good as the beef slider.

The American President:After threatening to shut down the US/Mexico border, which would case a sure economic disaster, President Trump was busy over the weekend fuming over the recently-ended Special Counsel investigation. Trump tweeted, “Everybody is asking how the phony and fraudulent investigation of the No Collusion, No Obstruction Trump Campaign began. We need to know for future generations to understand. This Hoax should never be allowed to happen to another President or Administration again!”

Who is exactly is “everybody?” What most people are asking is how the Special Counsel failed to find conspiracy with Russian operators and obstruction of justice.

Like Minds:Fox News, which never let facts get in the way of scaring its viewers, ran an on-screen headline that said “Trump Cuts U.S. Aid to Three Mexican Countries”

Have you ever noticed that all the hosts on Fox look alike?

It's Been Said

"In my mind, I’ve never crossed the line with anyone, but I didn’t realize the extent to which the line has been redrawn. There are generational and cultural shifts that I just didn’t fully appreciate, and I should have, no excuses."

-Andrew Cuomo, resigning as governor of New York after accusations of sexual harassment
