Since the terror attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, Calif., more Americans are worried about the effectiveness of the war against the Islamic State. Forty-two percent of Americans favor sending ground troops, according to an Associated Press poll.
Speaking at The Pentagon Obama said, “Last month, in November, we dropped more bombs on ISIL targets than any other month since this campaign started,” Obama said. “We’re also taking out ISIL leaders, commanders and killers, one by one.” The president said the US has conducted 9,000 air strikes against ISIS so far and right now is targeting their stronghold in Raqqa, Libya.
This is the Army: A top Army general has decided to ignore the recommendation of an investigating officer and proceed with a court martial against Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who walked away from his post in Afghanistan and ended up spending five years in captivity with the Taliban.
A desertion conviction could get Bergdahl five years in prison, but the more serious charge of misbehavior before the enemy carries a life sentence. The Army lawyer who presided over the preliminary hearing had recommended that Bergdahl receive neither prison time nor a punitive discharge.
Bergdahl went missing in 2009 and ultimately was returned in exchange for five members of the Taliban. He has said he left his post to hike to another camp to tell higher officers of dangerous mismanagement at his outpost.

His suit in a Massachusetts federal court claims, that here’s been a “campaign to assassinate Mr. Cosby’s reputation and character.” Cosby’s lawyer Monique Pressley said in a statement, “Mr. Cosby states plainly that he neither drugged nor sexually assaulted the defendants and that each defendant has maliciously and knowingly published multiple false statements and accusations from fall 2014 through the current day.”
More than 50 women claim they were sexually assaulted and sometimes drugged by Cosby over the years.

The penalty for failure to register is up to $27,000, and up to $250,000 for a crime committed with a drone.
