Equal Pay:Chants of “Equal pay!, Equal Pay!” broke out in the stadium yesterday as the American women celebrated their fourth World Cup soccer championship since 1991.

The women are paid as much as 40 percent less than the men’s soccer team. They sued the US Soccer Federation in March for better pay.

The Americans have won four of the eight World Cup titles since its establishment in 1991 and never finished out of the top three. They have also won four of the six Olympic gold medals awarded since 1996. In the last several weeks theyscored 26 goals and allowed only 3

The American men have never won a World Cup or reached the final four. They didn’t even qualify for the tournament last year.

DefCon: Iran announced that it’s making a further breach of the nuclear weapons treaty, this time beginning to make enriched uranium that approaches weapons-grade. The country said it will keep breaking the treaty until the US and its allies back off their crippling economic sanctions.

Just last week Iran broke the limit on how much nuclear fuel it has been allowed to stockpile.

Deputy foreign minister Abbas Araghchi said Iran would keep breaking the treaty limits at 60-day intervals unless sanctions are lifted. Experts say Iran is still far from having enough material to make even one nuclear bomb.

Behind Closed Doors: Michigan Rep. Justin Amash, who just bailed out of the Republican party to become an Independent, told CNN’sJake Tapper that Republicans have quietly congratulated him for saying President Trump should be impeached.

“I get people sending me text messages, people calling me, saying ‘thank you for what you’re doing,'” Amash told Tapper. “They’re not saying it publicly. And I think that’s a problem for our country, it’s a problem for the Republican Party, it’s a problem for the Democratic Party when people aren’t allowed to speak out.”

Amash also criticized House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for not pushing ahead with impeachment. “From a principled, moral position, she’s making a mistake. From a strategic position, she’s making a mistake,” Amash said. “If she believes, as I do, that there’s impeachable conduct in there, then she should say so. She should tell the American people, we’re going to move forward with impeachment hearings and potentially articles of impeachment.”

Faces:Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials have used facial recognition technology to scan millions of driver’s license photos in their hunt for illegal immigrants. Et Tu, Fox News?:President Trump went on a twitter rampage against the media yesterday, even focusing on his favored Fox Newsin his attacks.

“Watching@FoxNewsweekend anchors is worse than watching low ratings Fake News @CNN, or Lyin’ Brian Williams,” he wrote with a tweetstomp of his foot. He claimed that Fox, “who failed in getting the very BORING Dem debates, is now loading up with Democrats & even using Fake unsourced @nytimesas a ‘source’ of information.”

He went on, “@FoxNewsis changing fast, but they forgot the people who got them there!”

Kor and her twin had been among 1,500 sets of twins who were used as human Guinea pigs for grotesque medical experiments. Years after the war was over, Kor dedicated herself to teaching about the horrors of the  Holocaust while preaching forgiveness.

For Whom the Bulls Toll:The bulls ran yesterday in Pamplona. The bulls ran hard. And the men ran hard because the bulls were running hard. But the men did not run hard enough and the bulls gored them because they are bulls and they ran hard. The bulls gored two Americans and a Spaniard and sent them to the hospital where they could not run or be gored again by bulls. And the bulls said, “It is good. It is a good day to be a bull and to gore men who are running in front of bulls.”

It's Been Said

"Christians, get out and vote, just this time. You won't have to do it anymore. Four more years, you know what, it will be fixed, it will be fine, you won't have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians. I love you Christians. I'm a Christian. I love you, get out, you gotta get out and vote. In four years, you don't have to vote again, we'll have it fixed so good you're not going to have to vote."
