Breaking: Pope Celebrated

Habemus Papem: The new Pope is a Jesuit from Argentina, Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio, 76, Archbishop of Buenos Aires, who will go by the name Francis.

 He is the first pope from the New World. Thirty-nine percent of Catholics live in South America. A crowd filled St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican to see him appear for the first time on the balcony. Francis will have to lead the church out of the international sex abuse scandal while dealing with changing demographics in the Catholic Church, and crisis in the Vatican bank.
