California Massacre: Thirteen people are dead including the gunman after a shooting in a California bar holding a country dance night for college students.

The dead included 11 people inside the bar, the shooter, and a sheriff’s sergeant who was the first officer inside the door.

It happened at the Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, northwest of Los Angeles.

Witnesses said the gunman was tall and wearing all black with a hood, his face partly covered. He first shot the security man at the door then fired randomly at people inside. Hundreds of people rushed to the exits and some even used bar stools to break out windows.

The gunman has not been publicly identified.

Freedom from the Press: The White House late yesterday revoked the credentials of CNN’s presidential correspondent, Jim Accosta, after a contentious confrontation during President Trump’s press conference yesterday.

Press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Accosta would be indefinitely stripped of his “hard pass” which gives him access to the White House grounds. He was turned away from the gate a 7 last night.

Accosta has been one of Trump’s favorite targets in what he calls “the Fake News.” CNN and The White House Correspondents Association are howling in protest.

While Accosta was going at it with Trump yesterday, a White House intern put her hand on the reporter’s arm, trying to interrupt him and take the microphone. Accosta said, “Pardon me ma’am.”

Sanders said in a statement, “We will, however, never tolerate a reporter placing his hands on a young woman just trying to do her job as a White House intern. This conduct is absolutely unacceptable.”

Accosta did not put his hands on the intern. He had been peppering Trump with questions about the migrant caravan and why Trump called it an invasion when the woman tried to stop him.

At the end of the exchange, Trump said to Accosta, “I’ll tell you what: CNN should be ashamed of itself having you working for them.  You are a rude, terrible person.  You shouldn’t be working for CNN.”

  Trump always manages to kill the story of the day he’s trying to sell. He opened the newser declaring a great midterm election victory despite losing the House. He said, “I thought it was very close to complete victory.” He declared, “The Republican Party defied history to expand our Senate majority while significantly beating expectations in the House.”

The Day After the Day After: What Trump didn’t mention in his press conference was that he was firing Attorney General Jeff Sessions. That was announced later and the question now is whether he intends to also fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller in an attempt to end the Russia investigation.

Yesterday Trump said, “It should end because it’s very bad for our country.”

A post-election shakeup was expected and Sessions may be only the first fatality.

Sessions is being replaced, at least temporarily, by his chief of staff Matthew Whitaker, a Trump loyalist who now assumes oversight of the Russia investigation from deputy Attorney Gen. Rod Rosenstein. President Trump was always furious at Sessions for recusing himself from the investigation and causing the appointment of the special counsel.

Whitaker is on record saying the Mueller investigation has gone too far.

Trump claims there was no election collusion with the Russians, and just maybe there wasn’t. But there was plenty of lying to the FBI, and the President may have reason to be on edge. New York Magazine  is reporting that Donald Trump Jr. has told friends he believes he’s close to being indicted on a perjury charge for what he told the FBI about a meeting with a Russian lawyer dealing dirt on Hillary Clinton. Jr.

In Other Politics: Democrat Stacey Abrams is refusing to concede in the Georgia governor’s race because there are votes yet to be counted. She’s behind, but if neither candidate gets 50 percent of the vote there will be a runoff in December.— Lt. Governor and former San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom was elected to be the 40^thgovernor of California. The Hollywood handsome politician was the mayor who recognized and performed same-sex marriages long before it was the law of the nation.

Newsom was once married to former Fox News Valkyrie Kimberly Guilfoyle, who’s now dating Donald Trump, Jr. Look for Newsom to run for president, probably in four years, and try not to hold the Guilfoyle thing against him. — California Republican Rep. Duncan Hunter was elected to a sixth term despite being under indictment on charges that he pilfered his campaign fund for personal expenses. — Dennis Hof, the Nevada brothel owner and reality television star was elected to Nevada’s 36th Assembly Districtdespite being dead. He died last month at one of his ho ranches after celebrating his 72^ndbirthday. Typical politician who won’t keep his promises.

 Dunkin’: The Girl Scouts are suing the Boy Scouts because they are dropping “Boys,” re-naming themselves “Scouts USA,” and getting ready to welcome girls to the Eagle’s nest.

The Girl Scouts say the change will marginalize and damage their good organization.

They also say the shrinking boys organization is going co-ed just to save itself from oblivion. The Boy Scouts reportedly have close to 2.3m members in the US, down about a third since 2000, compared with around 2 million Girl Scouts.

If the boys start selling cookies it’s going to be a war.

I’m Only Seven:A seven year old Dallas Cowboys fan disappointed with the team’s performance this year wrote a letter of complaint to owner Jerry Jones. Rylan Wood said, “The cheerleaders are better than the team this year. I do not want to hurt your feelings.”
